His images and writing have appeared in the Washington Post, African Art Magazine, World View Magazine, several Peace Corps publications, non-profit web sites and annual reports, calendars and other newspapers. His work has been exhibited in Washington, D.C. and Havana, Cuba.

In April 2002 he completed his latest work, "Coming Home"-a documentation of life in a home/hospice for formerly homeless men living with AIDS and cancer in Washington, DC. A segment of the documentary was exhibited in the Rene Portocarrero Gallery of the National Theater in Havana, Cuba from July 5-August 30, 2002. Davis accepted the position of nursing assistant at the home/hospice in May 2002.

Mr. Davis possesses extensive interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills honed through three years of volunteering with the Peace Corps, Crisis Corps, and the World Food Program in Mali and Guinea. These skills are essential to gain access to the subjects of his photography. He is fluent in French and Dogon and has working knowledge of Spanish and Bambara. He is currently preparing an exhibit of his recent work from Cuba, which focuses on two themes: "Florero": A Havana flower seller and "Viviendo Positivo": living positively as part of the HIV/AIDS community in Havana.
